15 Fragen an Globetrotter & Trekity-Gründer Adam Costa

My favorite place on earth…

Yosemite National Park – especially Tuolumne Meadows. I’d like to be buried there.

I’ve never been to…

Space. Someday ;)

To me travelling means…

Sniffing out new places. I believe travelers are connoisseurs are places. Dig in, enjoy and savor the experience!

I never travel without…

My laptop. It’s a cruel mistress, but hey, it pays the bills.

It feels like home when…

There’s a shower. And beer.

The most important thing a traveller should know is..

Planning is a waste of time. Just pack a (light) bag and go – the rest figures itself out.

My favorite airport…

Singapore. Slept there a few times and actually enjoyed it.

My very special travel secret is…

Fried chicken! My estimate of a country is closely related to its production of fried chicken.

The coolest hotel I’ve ever been…

The Rutherford House in Napa Valley, California. My wife Darcie and I stayed a weekend there, and they had an open bar full of California wines and (gasp!) single malt scotch! Oh yeah, the rooms were nice too.

If I weren’t a traveller, I …

would be dead.

My perfect travel outfit…

Jeans. Sneakers. Collared shirt. Unkept facial hair.

My next trip is off to…

Cuenca, Ecuador. Then we’ll head into Peru, Chile and Argentina. Good times ahead!

My once in a lifetime travel experience…

Got deported from Vietnam (who knew Americans needed visas before visiting? Oh right, everyone.)

I will settle down and stop travelling when….

I’m hit by a bus. Or my wife and I finally cave in and get cats. But they better be cool with road trips.

Websites travellers can’t live without are…

You mean besides Trekity, right? Um…. Travelfish if you’re headed to SE Asia. That’s about it.
